I am writing as a stream of conscious so bare with it if you are interested.

TLDR: I've been working on a parody game project using Ren'Py. The picture above is just concept rendering nothing solid yet. If you have questions I'll be fully honest in my response regardless of spoilers.

Game working title: Loud Dorm

Story Pitch: Lincoln, a work from home programmer, moves into his non-blood related Aunt's house while she moves her father into a retirement home. Unknown to him, over the past few years, Aunt Rita has turned her small home into a Dorm house for her college aged daughter, Lori, and her friends. A difficult situation on its own, a strange magic resides in the home and curses him with an animal magnetism that is affecting all the girl residents. Can he balance his urges and their affections to not upend all their futures?

Quick Concept Explanation: Lincoln is cursed and is turning into a werewolf. The main goal is to keep control before you go on a murderous rampage. This will be done by redirecting your blood lust into regular lust. All the girls sense something new about him and are infatuated to the point it is affecting their school studies, future plans, and current relationships. You must balance the animal within you and work through each girl's story before your curse ruins their lives.

Explanation on Non-blood relative: Full upfront, if I can really get going on this, I may open a Patreon. Patreon bans incest and underage dating sims. For the game to be profitable all characters will be unrelated to Lincoln and also be over the age of 18. I am also considering alternate names like Lincoln -> Kennedy and Leni -> Kelly. Design alteration is also something I'm working on.

Alright here's the deal, I've figured out how to make the game I've wanted to for awhile now using Ren'Py rather than RPGmaker. Only in the past 6 months have some good tutorials appeared on Youtube for the exact mechanics I wanted. Through my own testing I've been able to do the following:

Cutscenes - General Label Jumps including animations
Personal Stats - General Variable Manipulation
Point and Click Movement - Imagemap and imagebuttons
Inventory - Storing of key items to use as triggers and consumables
Shops - Places to get items
Personalized Menus and GUI - More imagebuttons or altering the gui images.

Anyways, I've learned the super basic way to do everything I need for an intricate dating sim. My code wouldn't be the most optimal by any standard, however it should work. Mainly, I would be hard coding almost every animation and bust but it will work. The dating sim aspect is covered making it more unique is the current issue.

Main gameplay cycle would consist of a four part day where you'd work, flirt with the girls, raise stats, ect. You'd be building lust to convert to control via sexual action with the girls. If your control stat drops to zero you'll game over if no one can help you. This may be enough for an adult game however it's hard to know if it will play well without just going for it.

The big issue right now is the shear amount of art assets I'd need. Base line for every character bust would be like 5 images. Then full backgrounds for just the Loud home itself would be maybe 20 unedited for idle and 20 more for hover states for navigation. I'd love to just grab screens from the show but it's illegal. I'm even worried about the recreations I've done in the background of the concept. It took me like 6 hours for that unfinished BG and I don't think it looks that good. I will be honest, I do find myself a decent hobby artist, however I'd like a professional look for ego alone. I may have to settle for my own art but I may try to look for someone else to do the art if I can. However, I'd not even think to approach someone until I feel like I can commit and show a competent base.

I also don't know where I'd want to go to with the art style. The show style is super well done, however I'd not feel comfortable with just doing one for one replications as they are meant to appear young. Not just the younger sisters but even the older are teenage body shapes. I'd have to age everyone up to a mid 20s designs just for the sake of avoiding publication issues. I'm just unsure how far I can take the style to keep fandom interest rather than general adult dating sim interest. I am stretching with the story quite a bit already, so I'd like the art style to stay close.

I do think the next stage would be to create the intro which may be long but will spark intrigue into the story at least. No mechanics beyond navigation but hopefully I can release it to see what people think after playing a semi working version.

PS: I do know of another adult Loud House Parody game. I believe it's in Spanish. I've played a bit of it but it was in a very early stage when I did so. I don't know if it's finished yet. I'm not sure if I should prewarn the creator to try and avoid bad blood if I do truly pursue this as a curtesy.
