This is the second Rarity I've made in her Beatnik outfit and I really enjoyed making her again with my updated pattern!Rarity is made from snow white, purple, and violet (from Minky Boutique) minky with a machine embroidered cutie mark and machine embroidered and appliqued eyes with 3D lashes. Her mane and tail contain no wires.
When I make plushie clothes I like to make them out of the actual fabrics clothes would be made from instead of minky so her sweater is made from black knit fabric and her beret is rasberry colored fleece. Her shoes are made from black pleather and were way more annoying to make than I expected, but I love how they turned out! Her outfit is fully removable.
Rarity was a commission and is not for sale. I will be officially reopening for commissions on June 27th so if you want a Rarity or any other plushie for yourself please keep an eye out for my opening announcement!

The shoes were mostly annoying because I didn't have the right foot/needles for sewing pleather. Would have been okay otherwise. Still a bit annoying, I'm sure, but not the headache that they were.

Makes sense to me. SewingΒ certain different materials can always presentΒ a challenge in general too. Sewing through 6+ layers of denim was a nightmare until I finally got the hand of it. Still a bit annoying though. ^^ But sewing something very light and fragile can be tricky too.

Aww, she turned out amazing! Love the eyelashes, and I agree about clothing - I've never really liked minky for clothes.

Minky works okay for some clothes, but it still always kind of weirds me out when the clothes are made from the same thing as their skin.
