Little less zoom. Although the focus of the photo is the tiger, you still need background and foreground to get a real feeling of the moment so to speak. Otherwise, great shot!! Hope I've helped.

Actually I got the exact shot that I wanted...I just cropped to make it smaller and focused on the tiger.
Thanks for the critique

edvanced critique? first of all - zoom out a bit next time
it is good to feel the "closeness" of the object when you thake the shot by zooming in too much, but what is it worth when you miss some part of the object, like front paw in this case?
I would suggest you zoom out next time and make cut/crop from the pic on your PC. It will enable you to sit still, without being disturbed and to consider right composition.
nothing more I could think of - its a cool shot

cough*...I like the pic..and especially how it was zoomed..it caught everything except for it's front paw..
It was really quick shot since the tiger was moving around...and if I didn't zoom I wouldn't get the detail in the eyes of the tiger..(my camera's only 7.1MP)
Thanks anyways...

lol, I like the cough
well, what I ment was that zooming in might not always be the best thing to do - it robs you of the opportunity to rethink the composition and the choice of the section you would like to select.
I am sure you could do that with your camera - zoom out and focus again on the eyes. then make a proper cut in some program.
but still. nice shot. Sometimes I wonder how I would shoot some shots that I see made by others. hmmm. perhaps in a very similar way

Actually the tiger just kept going in this pattern around the enclosure and I caught onto that...
Well okay I had to choose the spot to stand ...but seriously it was unusual to have so few people at the zoo..I think they all went to the beach (basically that led to no glass reflection to ruin the shots)

Wouldn't want to be dinner...
Ooo really it attacked the glass?
Well it's bound to happen...there was this guy who had a tiger in his apartment and it was found out after he ended up in the hospital with a so called "pit bull bite" (basically they found out later that he got in the way of his dog and his tiger and the tiger chomped on his leg )
You can go ahead and play with the pics all you want actually...just tell me which ones since I'm not going to go and put all of them on Download mode. If you have the time then it's A okay with me since you have more experience in photoshop and I just probably screw the pic's up compared with the original.

some people think that shooting animals in a zoo is a cop-out but I think that if you capture the animal the way you want, it doesn't matter where it is. I would rather be shooting a Bengal tiger at the zoo than have it licking its lips looking at me in the wild. I've seen one of these big cats attack a glass wall to get at a person. Scared the crap out of me. Yup yup yup. Would much rather be safe. I would love to play with some of your originals in photoshop. They are so nice that it would be fun.
