"This doodle bag is a brand new canvas clutch/tote style bag by Bath & Body Works that has been completely covered with one-of-a-kind, hand drawn illustrations. I simply took a twenty-four-color pack of Sharpies and got to work. The theme of this bag is the 1994 publication of Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book, which was illustrated by master fairy/fantasy artist and my personal hero, Brian Froud. Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book and its consecutive sequels are some of my favorite books in my Brian Froud collection. They resemble a diary of a young Vicorian girl, Angelica Cottington, as she grows up and struggles with her ability to see fairies. The pages document those struggles and the annoying fairies that Angelica squishes along the way. Brian Froud's illustrations are both beautiful and hilarious. I have done my best to faithfully recreate them collage style on this bag with sharpies for a fitting tribute. Each drawing is so full of wild colors and textures that I really had a lot of fun making this.

This bag is made of soft natural canvas and has an olive green suede material trim. It has a pretty crumpled green bow on the front and and is lined with olive nylon fabric. This purse also has one interior zipper pocket that would be great for storing a phone or some keys. I used to make themed bags like these for my friends as gifts and they always would get tons of compliments whenever they would wear them out. The illustrations are quite durable and will last as long as the bag does if you use common sense. I would stick to hand washing or spot washing if it gets dirty, for instance, just to stay on the safe side. This purse comes signed by me on the bottom, along with the name of my Etsy store if anyone asks you where you got it…and you know they will."
