Description
I am mainly putting this up here because I keep trying to put it up on another site and it refuses to work. So I thought if I gave a link to this page at least someone might see it. It's not the sort of thing I usually have in my deviantart gallery because it's obviously not 2-dimensional...but of course, as always, it does have something to do with Harry Potter. This is a photo of the Gryffindor uniform I made to wear on Halloween last year, complete with the Monster Book of Monsters. Through much burning and mutilating of my fingers I discovered a way to mass-produce these books, so if anyone is interested in commissioning me to breed them a copy all they need to do is send a request willowisnotagoat@yahoo.com.Related content

Fantastic! What material have you used for the monster book?

It's an old reference book the library was going to throw out, I think it was full of old advertisements or something and the pages were yellowed naturally so I didn't have to worry about that part. I covered it with some faux fur that I got from Walmart craft department using hot glue. I also used the hot glue gun to burn some random holes it the fur to make it scruffy. I made the jaw and some eye sockets out of sculpy and covered them with fur so it wouldn't be as obvious, and the eyes are little beady yellow plastic ones from a craft store. I wadded up strips of that faux fur for the fringy tentacle bits along the edges, and I made the tongue from model magic so it would be somewhat more flexible (though it kept breaking, so not a great idea.) Finally, I found an old belt at goodwill to keep it shut.
