This makes me smile... appropriately xDI was the lovely Bellatrix Lestrange for Halloween this year and this is what became of it. Yes, I confess to being a hopeless Harry Potter dork. <3
The necklace (other than my hair xD) is my favorite part. It was made by the amazing and I am very thankful that she took the time to make it for me. It's fantastic and the costume wouldn't have been complete without it.
I'd like to do this again... it's nowhere near perfect and I'd like to make it a bit better, but until then, I hope you like!

I'm glad to hear you get where I'm coming from. There is only so much you can like a character that killed Sirius and then kills Gary Oldman as Sirius. At that point it was too much to take
I saw you other pics too by the way and they show the costume even better. It's very accurate to the movie from what I can tell so

Yah, I was so upset when I read it for the first time... then I just about DIED when it was Gary Oldman falling through that veil. Dx The only thing that kept me going was Bellatrix's pure epicness. xD

Haha yeah tell me about it! My mum was almost crying in the cinema at that part. I do wish they had made more room for Gary Oldman in the movies...especially Order of the Phoenix. But I guess that's what replaying dvds is for eh?

Ah I see! I don't think you are the only one out there though, many are afflicted with the same problem
I think it's going to be a while yet before I actually have the costume to a level I'll be close to happy with. I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway. Hopefully I'll get ther at some point. The only thing that I'm willing to differ from the movie is the hair, because sadly my hairline just isn't quite up to the long, dyed hair thing anymore. Instead it'll have to be short messy or slicked back hair. Comic style I guess...ah well
