I read that memo you left me about how you think that more could be achieved if we just gave you all the money and sent you to a bar. But as I’m the new CEO I knew my staff needed something different to show me their real merit and true worth, to separate the leaders from the followers, the winners from the losers, right William?

I’ve been personally involved in this unique program for years and I know it works, though I bet you both thought as the only two guys here you would ‘put us chicks in our place’ and try to wrest the reins of power away, to try and impress me with your ruthless backstabbing to get ahead. Well that hasn’t turned out the way you hoped, has it?

But I never lied when I lured you here, I said this place would guarantee to provide all you needed to take away the stresses of your real life, to free you from the shackles of being mundane and help you become something better, something more.

Richard, I mean Spirit, you’ve won the rosette for your dressage display, and I didn’t I promise that you would learn to become a winner with your head held high? That you would find lessons for life once the reins of power were taken from you and handed to another, namely your oft belittled secretary Marcie who has really found her milieu in life as the strict trainer of an untamed beast such as you, her liberal use of the riding crop on you has impressed me greatly. Simply using suggestion and unearthing a natural domineering aura has enticed her into being something more wonderful and beautiful than you have ever been.

You have responded well and have proved to be quite the obedient pet, I know we had to drug you into unconsciousness in order to get your dressed like this but once the initial shock wore off you ‘Spirit’ have responded well and proved to be far more at home under the thumb. I think once we return to work I shall give Marcie your job as Vice President and you can be her plaything of a secretary. I’m sure she’ll love to find you something more apt to wear for secretarial work, eh?

As for you William, I mean Muffy, though you look very nice in your black rubber, this was supposed to be a team building exercise and you have proved to be too surly and selfish to be allowed the honour of being part of the team of rubber ponies who pull my carriage around this vast estate during this weekend. So I have decided to leave you here under the no-nonsense tutelage of some of my oldest and strictest friends who run this facility, if you do have a change of attitude over time I may allow you to return to work in the office but I think leaving you here, to show you off as a deterrent to others, would be far more useful …..and way more fun…for me at least!”
