"Oh this is gonna be so good!" Spongebob snickered for about the umpteenth time when he began spraying. But who could blame him? Ever since he first thought of the prank many years ago, he had always wanted to try it out. But he didn't want to do it alone. It wouldn't have been as much fun.

"Is it almost done?"

It's a good thing he wasn't!

The sea sponge turned to the mermaid behind him, sitting on the grass with a look of anticipation of her own as she watched him spray, what appeared to be nothing. But they both knew otherwise of course. And that was the FUN part! They were lucky they got here early this morning and that there was no one else in the park to see them.

"Almost Ariel! Just need to spray the last leg aaaaaand... DONE!" He smiled as he marveled at his work, pocketing the spray can in the back of his pants, making sure no one would be able to see it. "One invisible park bench, primed and ready to be sat on!" He then turned to his friend who held an expression of awe, also amazed by his work. "Ready to make prankster history?"

"I sure am!" She nodded with a smile before a look of uncertainty appeared. "But, not to sound like a broken record, are you sure no one will notice? I mean, a lot of people come through Central Park and won't they be suspicious that one park bench is missing?" She asked.

"That's exactly what they won't know! ONE bench!" The sponge smiled. "They won't know which one has gone missing! And besides, they're not groundskeepers. They hardly pay that much attention to the things here so we'll be fine." He then held a hand out for her to take. "So, with that said, you ready?"

Quickly forgetting her concerns, Ariel nodded and took it, the sea creature helping her climb onto the bench before gettling settled, planting her tail on the wooden boards as her fin trailed the ground lightly. "So, this stuff only stains clothes, right?"

"Just clothes, not tail-fins Ariel." The sponge joked. "And even then, I sprayed the boards first so they're dry. We won't have to worry about it." He then sat beside her, finally completing their park. The sponge smiled and began to snicker again. "I can't believe this is finally happening!"

Ariel giggled along with her friend, also anticipating the reactions from the passer-bys that would be coming through this path of the park. "I can see why. I mean, a mermaid and a sea sponge, floating in midair in a busy park on the surface? It's perfect!"

"I know!" He patted the bench with a smile. "Me and Patrick have wanted to do this ever since we bought the Invisible Spray the first time!"

"Speaking of which, why didn't you guys do it the first time? It sounds like you two wanted to do that prank but never got the chance to." The princess of Atlantica pointed out.

"...We were... sidetracked." The fry-cook blushed and looked away as memories of the 'Bikini Bottom Ghosts' incident came flooding back to him... and the humiliation when they were caught red handed. He immediately brightened up and turned to Ariel. "How about you? Have you ever made any pranks before in Atlantica?"

The princess smiled and nodded. "I have actually. There was this one time-"

Half an hour went by with the two talking about the various pranks they made in the past went they noticed the park slowly becoming more populated, little by little, the two quickly sat up straight, trying their best to keep composed and stop their laughter.

Their first victim came in the form of Nathan Drake.

"Hi Nate!" Spongebob waved to the trasure hunter who was looking at one of his notebooks.

"Hey Sponge, Ariel." He gave a distracted wave of his hand... but quickly stopped with a confused expression. "What the hell?" He then turned and his eyes widened to see them, floating in midair above the ground. "Are you two... floating?!"

"We are." The mermaid smiled at the gobsmacked human with a wave of her own."

"And... how!?" He asked, eyes still wide.

"Magic, alchemy, blind luck? Take your pick." Spongebob grinned, which grew when a certain gravity Shifter came next, her cat walking next to her.

"Hello Ariel!" Kat waved before her own eyes widened. "...Since when did you and Spongebob become Shifters!? Do you have pets too!?"

"Nope! We're clearly floating in midair." Ariel said to the hero of Heksville with a smile.

Slowly, a small crowd started to surround them, from movie, cartoon, game and anime characters watched the spectacle before them.

"Look at them!" Ami pointed to them as she and Yumi both wore stunned expressions.

"They're floating in midair!" Wander exclaimed, his eyes wide with awe and excitement.

"How are they doing that!?" Sylvia asked her partner, her own eyes wide.

"I don't see and wires or strings. That's actually very amazing." Kakashi said to himself, BOTH eyes showing and he still couldn't find the cause of the twos stunt.

"And I doubt they are able to use magic, much less the Force." General Grievous coughed, not wanting to admit he himself was impressed with the sight before him.

"Can someone get a picture of this!? This is SO cool!" Rigby asked with a wide smile.

As the comments kept coming, Spongebob and Ariel could only keep on smiling, keeping their laughter down as they both had one thought on their mind.

'Best. Prank. Ever!'

Or Spongebob teaches Ariel how to prank!

This is a crossover commission pic of Spongebob Squarepants and Ariel, both pulling a prank, done by the awesome !

When I saw his art, I thought it looked so cool and I rarely see any crossover art of Spongebob and Ariel around here so I thought of this idea where Spongebob shows Ariel a prank he and Patrick thought of in the classic episodes!

In the episode, 'Pranks-A-Lot' he and Patrick buy something called Invisible Spray and they planned to spray a park bench to make it look like they were floating in midair. But if you watched it, things didn't turn out well for them!

So in this one, I asked for to make that prank a reality and to have Spongebob and Ariel in midair, but this time, on the SURFACE. I mean, a sea sponge and a mermaid floating in midair on LAND!? That would be a head-turner!
