So at work during some free time I came up with a few characters, and this is one of them. They served great with practicing the new style I'm using, you'll see more of such from me
Some more daring outfits too, didn't draw such at work of course

It was trial and error I guess, I got inspired by how wonderful and simple and beautiful Steven Universe art was and I tried to do something cartooney myself. Stylization and simplification of what I already knew and it started happening :3 looking up cartoon artists and studying how they do it also helps tremendously

Hmm, interesting, a mix of observation and imitation mixed with your own touches of improvisation until you came up with your own result- sounds tedious. I wish I had the time and patience for such a task, but I'm afraid I have more pressing matters unfortunately. I do wish I could develop my skills- I know they're there, they're just... Unattended to at the moment ://

I absolutely understand. Up until a few years ago I didn't even know I could LEARN art, just wasn't raised that way. And now, I took a few months off work just for these, looking all over again now. It's definitely problematic to find the time for it when you've got life going on in the back..
