Hmmmm, I wouldn't say that it's hard, but it isn't easy either    I would say it's complicated. It has a steep learning curve because you have to learn several disciplines to put together a good render. That being said, I'm rolling into my eighth year with previous experience in Sims modding    Tons of work along the way but very rewarding  ^_^

Ah, got it! Hmmm...really awesome though!  Thanks for the explanation! Do you do a lot of traditional sketch and painting before you put and idea into a 3-d computer model?

Normally I don't. I haven't had enough ideas yet when modeling from scratch, so I start with a general design in my head and it takes on its own life as I work. For my figures, usually I have a starter scene with just a base figure, and I compose from there. Sometimes I do have ideas that I will set aside to gel later. I only do sketches if I'm having trouble working a scene out, or when I'm somewhere where I have no immediate access to my render box. However, there are times when I have to rely on digital painting after rendering to either fix things or add elements. And I draw outside of what I do in 3-D, but I haven't seriously drawn anything in about a year.
