Description
This is just a sketch for a three pannel painting I'm wanting to do, exploring the theme of the hag as an emblem of sexual power. I'm not yet happy with the posture on my Baba Yaga though I like the upper class Russian jewelry, and the skull pommender. The Sheela na Gig I am fairly happy with, especially the wild hair. I know that Marie LaVaux is traditionally skinny, but it just didn't work. I don't know when I will have either the time to work on it, or the money for materials, but I want to get going on it soon. Maybe it will get me back on some of my other paintings. They are sitting there like neglected lovers wanting some attention.
