This is my contest entry for

The Theme here is... "Forced Fate."

What I understand from the character profiles was something like this:

Miss Luua Mhin is a lovely young Miqo'te, one that has been hurt too many times to count. She is shy and feels abandoned when her crush leaves for another town. She has a nervous habit of biting her hands but like many of us all she wants is to be accepted, cherished even, but can't afford to give anyone that chance. Thus, by the time a mysterious yet flirtatious stranger (Vain) comes along she is too guarded to trust his words and let him near her tender heart. He is possessive and jealous (maybe imposing on some boundaries here coming into her room) but his heart is serious. This is how I've interpreted Forced Fate. To want, no yearn, to be near someone so much... the unavoidable fear that they may pull away and hurt us but being unable to resist nonetheless. Vain wants so much to be accepted by her, someone he knows so very much about. He reaches out to comfort her as she moans in her sleep, dreaming of lonelier times. His touch is soft and gentle but soothes her sleeping self. She smiles and stretches more comfortably as her dreams shift to a sweeter scene. Hopeful and resilient he leaves her to her dream world and returns to guard the perimeter. His love, never the wiser, lies in peace.
