CONTEST CLOSED!UPDATE: I'm adding some more prizes, a perfect IV Ditto and two Mega Stones! Both 1st and 2nd will get a Mega Stone of their choice (that I have), and 1st place gets dibs on the Ditto but doesn't have to claim it if they're opposed to cloned Pokemon.
I made this picture since not everyone watches my journals.
Here it is, just like last year: Pokemon Gender Differences.
Deadline: Friday, November 28th
Grand Prize: 1-Year Premium Membership, perfect IV Shiny Ditto from Japan (great breeding tool), and a Mega Stone.
Second Place: Mega Stone, and the above Ditto if 1st doesn't want it.
Sub Prizes: Art Requests
Prompt:
Sometimes, Pokemon have interesting gender differences (like in the Nidoran line), other times, they're just awful (Wobbuffet?!), and the rest are very subtle or nonexistent anyway. Well, your job is to change that! I want you guys to take an existing Pokemon's line, and make two distinct (but visually related!) male and female designs.

I'm hopelessly obsessed with excadrills, myself. When I commissioned to make my plushie Excadrill family, I decided on gender-differences for males and females. So I arranged that Geena was a bit smaller than her male counterparts and her steel hardware was tweaked smaller a little bit, accordingly.
(So that you know, they are Diggory, Geena herself, and Kody is a pink 'shiny')
Obviously I requested eyelashes on Geena! ^-^

Is it okay if I used sprites for this contest?

If you mean you want to use official sprites then no, you have to do 100% your own work. If you mean you want to do your own work in sprite form then it's technically ok, but I have to tell you you'd be at a serious disadvantage because you can only show so much in a 100x100 square and it's not much of a chance against somebody who drew a big 1000px image.

Okay. My entry will come soon, since it'll involve one of the most popular Fire-type Pokémon. But, I have to increase the size of it, first. BTW, is it okay if the sprite in question is an edit?

I don't understand your question, did you even read my reply? Your entry must be 100% your own work. No bases, no traces, no official pics, no stolen art because it's a contest and you can't enter using somebody else's work.
