Ever had a look at my journal entry about the Sherlock Holmes film? I just had to think about that again now that you (and I) have mentioned Without A Clue... That movie was silly and 'uncanonical' as well but at least it was meant to be sillily funny whereas the new film was meant to be serious. Serious and uncanonical just don't fit together.
