They stared at the endless void around them, only the company of silent glowing nebulas filled the dark expanse. Their scales felt neither; cold or warm, heavy or weightless, attached or not. They just drifted… with no direction or destination forever in a realm of everything and nothing.
“Trapped in the realm of balance.”, they echoed to themselves. Most of their thoughts had been silenced now, not sure how long it had been or if time had even passed that was. But only one thing lingered within the emptiness. Are we really the blessing this universe needs?
Or…
Are we the curse?
