ann was rushing, she had lost track of time and now was running late, she heard her name being called for on deck and she cursed under her breathe, begging one of the grooms to hold shady, she quickly and carefully slipped her helmet on, tucking her blond hair into her helmet, with only doing a seconds check that she didn't have hair falling out, she tightened shady's girth and thanked the groom, grabbing the stallions reins the twenty year old started jogging to the entrance of the arena.

as she got there the person before her was just finishing their round, she bit her lip, hoisting herself into the saddle, she stroked shady's neck as she watched the person walk out of the arena she smiled, "good job!" she hadn't actually seen how they had done, but she was motioned into the arena and collected her reins and nudged the black thoroughbred, walking him calmly into the arena, as he chomped on the bit a little and sighed. arching his neck a little and ducking his nose out to the side just a smidgen as he normally did when getting into his frame for competition, wit the cue of a tap to his side from annice he picked up a canter and they were off.

half-way though the round, shady just seemed to not really be too interested in it for now, simply meeting each fence in stride, picking up his knees and going. she glanced down at him for a moment as they went over one of the fences, with an ear perked forward she could of sworn it was as if he was saying "can i just finish this and go eat again?" it made her chuckle, but she shortened her reins a tiny bit more and started driving harder and than a gear picked up in the short stallions mind and yo saw it slowly, he just lit up his ears coming forward and bounding toward fences and using one hundred percent of his thoroughbred muscling to gracefully carry them over the fences.

im actually pretty happy with how this came out. with the vos colors being black and blue i had to get in the black and blue ear bonnet and kinda had to darken the horse from a dark bay to more of shady's solid black color, also had to add the wall in the background dividing the crowd from the arena. annyyyway this is my entry for the CHE first annual jump off [link] it is our first competition entered and i really hope we do well.
