Teen Titans is American based, and a lot better animated then most anime.
Now if you would have said one of the following four: Kenshin, Tri-gun, Sakura CC, Fruits Baskets, then you would have had me.
And with those, I like the storyline, not the actual animation...with the exception of Sakrua. My roomate had the manga, so I read them out of boredom...just happened to absolutely adore the very last page of the series that it moved the entire thing onto my "like" list. 
I've seen my fair share of Anime though. My old roomate was WAY into it (still is). *shrug*

Later on he finds out that his Sacred Maiden was the girl he loved; Meaning Risa. He transforms into Dark whenever he thinks about her too much and Dark in turn transforms whenever he thinks about HIS sacred maiden too much (Riku) the only way to stop it for good is to make the Sacred Maiden fall in love with all of him.
Now see, here's where it get's fun! Remember how Daisuke is in love with Risa? She's totally infatuated with Dark, who she sees as the coolest guy on earth. And Dark's crush Riku? She thinks HE'S the biggest pervert in the world, and has a mega crush on Daisuke.
