…And the closest you will ever get to me posting my picture on the internet. It took me a lot of consideration to even post this much, so be grateful!It’s been about four years since I’ve tried to draw realistically, and I’ve never had a serious class on the subject, so I’m not totally happy with how this turned out…

Wow! This is actually a very good try! I wouldn't call it a piece of crap: it's a master piece! Very awesome. Heck, I 'dun even know how to draw regularly. And yout ake classes? Wow. Cool. I wish I could take classes. But I'm much to oblivious and totally not the type to listen to a teacher and my schedule won't allow it...but anyway, great drawing!

Nah, it's not really the comment that bothers me as much as it's the fact that people think I should lower myself to society's substandard views of physical appearance. I'm content looking the way I do, and I'm not going to doll myself up for anybody.

you're still above average with realistic styling despite what you may think 
I think if you practice a little more you may find yourself improving soon.. after all, you have said you haven't attempted art of this nature for around 4 or 5 years now and I'm still impressed with your work!

If you don't draw realisticaly often then this is really pretty good, I mean it's not the absolute best i've ever seen but the eyes are expressive
The nose fits the face, the lips have some texture to them, the only thing is the hair wasn't completed.

LOL, I think it looks awesome!! All (and by 'all' I mean 3.)of my self portraits are facing away and to add on all of that I don't have a scanner so untill that day comes no one will ever know what I look like... well unless they read my profile...
