Drawn looking off this screen cap for an upcoming episode of Avatar; The Last Airbender. I’m not the biggest Avatar Fan out there, but I do like it. It’s a cute show with interesting characters and great plotlines. (though they get a little dark in some places for a kid’s show...) Not to mention Iroh = AWESOME!!!
Still, I’m reluctant to get fully involved in the fandom since people there seem to take their pairings even more seriously there then in the DP universe. (And yes, that is in fact possible.) I’ve even come across a group of Katara/Aang fans that are actually petitioning to the creators of Avatar to alienate Katara/Zuko, which irritated me to no ends.
I like when characters have diverse love interests, but more then that I believe in the divine right of a creator to decide which direction their work should go in. If they truly loved the show, then fans would accept the creator’s decisions. No one should believe they have the right to demand something like that just because they happen to watch the show and don’t like a particular aspect of it.
It’s especially sad in this case because Katara/Zuko isn’t even a cannon pairing. If fact, not including this upcoming tidbit (Which, by the way, the creators have soundly assured fans is not going to involve romance), there’s only one incident in the whole series so far that even hints at the pairing, and that’s only if a fan is desperate enough to interpret it as a hint.
That should be everything… Sorry for the rant, by the way. I seem to be doing that a lot lately.
I’d also like to apologize for the crappy coloring. It was actually a decent inking before I screwed it up… The linear art is in my scraps if anyone wants to color it themselves. I’d totally love you forever if you do.PS; That quote was semi-stolen from Fruits Baskets, just so you know. It just fit the situation so well…

I didn't like the pairing, before zuko, was betrayed by Azula, then he started turning good, In a previous episode he even made the choice to cast aside his darkness and set free appa. So I didn't really mind it. Then he goes and betrays everyone including Iroh. One of my two favorite characters (The other being Toph) and the man who stood by him through his exile and everything else. Grah Zuko is now my least favorite character and before that I liked him.

I like Zuko even less then Azula, even though the series has hinted that she murdered her own mother when she left to expose that her husband had killed his father to become firelord.
Actually despite her being evil as hell I kinda like Azula, I'd never want to see her paired up with Aang or any of the other heros, but she's a villain who while truly evil has at least a bit of complexity to her.

You, sir, are an ignorant bastard. Just because someone as talented as WingsofMorphius decides to draw something she's thinking about doesn't mean she's spying on you. Why would she have any reason to spy on you, anyway? The most you have done is brag about you having absolute top-of-the-range products, and submitted a badly-edited compilation of screen caps, modified to your liking. One would think that if you had Photoshop, like you claim you do, it would have turned out better than the travesty sitting in your gallery.
To WingsofMorphius: I am sorry if you don't want comments such as this on your pages. It's just that a friend of mine has been receiving comments from this fellow that are pointless and sometimes infuriating. She mentioned that she had a tablet in one of her sketches, and he commented on it, only saying that he had a tablet too and didn't even say anything about the picture. Feel free to hide this.

Haha, fandoms are really scary, aren't they? I've only really been immersed in two other fandoms before DP (and those were both for animes), so I've come to notice extreeeeeeeeeme differences between fandoms. For example, in the DP fandom, when a new episode comes out in the USA, no one actually knows what's going to happen, as opposed to an anime, which then, everyone knows what's going to happen because it aired a year and a half earlier.
I enjoy Avatar. 
Well, anyway... yeah. Fandoms. Watch out for those. Especially with their pairings.

I defintely agree with the whole view of "fans trying to change the creator's plans". Obviously, the creator knows what they want to do...
...However... I am a major Katara/Zuko fan, if only because the whole Aang/Katara pairing is desperately cliched and...weird. O_o Aang just doesn't seem like...boyfriend material? He's just so childish, and...little-brother.
I adore the complexity of Zuko/Katara, and the whole "opposites attract" thing. It's MUCH funner to play around with...and there are a couple of small scenes that could support the pairing.
I guess my final statement is that, YES, Iroh is one of my all-time favorite characters, ever. He's so wise and awesome, but still so powerful and complex. Definitely a well-rounded character that should be respected.

Eh...that's one of the reasons I turn away from pairings. People get more crazy about 'em than anything else. *shakes head* Don't get it...I mean, it's a show, it's one thing if you like the idea of two characters together, completely another if you waste your time trying to get rid of pairings that challenge the one you like....
Anyway, picture itself...very nice! Looks just like it fell off the show...likely 'cause you copied it off a screencap. I'm guilty of that one, though. Katara's eye looks a little too far up on her face...but other than that, nothing to say. I love the expressons on their faces here. So sad and heart-warming...

There really isn't any cannon evidence for that pairing at all, and I've seen every episode at least three or four time.

I know... Which is what makes the petition so rediculous. A lot of fans will work with that scene from Waterbending Scroll, but really there's never been any evidence in the show that Zuko and Katara are interested in one another in any way, shape or form.

I'm not an avid fan, but I do watch it every once and a while, and I gotta say you portrayed them pretty well. Zuko always looks so...normal without the scarred eye showing. And you're right, Iroh is awesome, and he's played by the Mako, the same guy who does the voice of 'Aku' on 'Samurai Jack'!

I don't have a problem with Katara/Aang except that he's too young for her. It'd be forgivable if he was more mature or something, but as things are not I really can't see that as anything more then a Brother/Sister relationship on her part.

Iroh is awesome, isn't he? And he's not just for comic relief, The White Lotus club was defiantly giving Uncle a lot more meaning in the show.
"Wow, I haven't cleaned my room in 100 years... Not looking forward to that..." This is the quote that got me hooked on Avatar. After that, I knew I HAD to watch the rest.
