Just for the record I hate that song, but it honestly was the only thing that fit with both the picture and a little something I want to get off my chest…WARNING; LONG, ANGRY RANT! DO NOT READ IF YOU CANNOT KEEP AN OPEN MIND AND/OR IF YOU’RE THE KIND OF PERSON WHO REFUSES TO ADMIT THAT OTHER PEOPLE’S VIEWS AND OPINIONS HAVE VALID POINTS THAT DESERVE AS MUCH RESPECT AS YOUR OWN!
This was drawn in response to several rude reviews I’ve gotten about Valerie on Blackbird, not to mention a piece I saw some D/S shipper do where she called Valerie a ‘Fat Chick.’ As I’ve said a million times before I don’t ship, but comments like that REALLY tick me off. I’ve never seen Valerie as fat. Honestly, I think she has a very respectable figure…
And even if she is heavyset, what right do they have to mock her for it? She’s clearly in top physical form from what we’ve seen on the show, and she’s a beautiful and confident young woman who still hasn’t reached her full adulthood yet. It’s like Obi said not too long ago in one of her journals; The media is giving us such an unhealthy and unattainable opinion of what we should look like in comparison to what we do, and far too many people are encouraging those views with sick comments the like aforementioned.
The thing that annoys me most is the fact that there are so many comments like this from so many D/S shippers, whereas most D/V and even D/P fans I know are completely respectful in comparison. I’m not saying that there’s aren’t rude D/V or D/P fans out there, but there in the vast minority when you compare them to all the fans making rude comments about the other females on the show just because they’re a threat to the D/S relationship.
Don’t get me wrong, I do like D/S, and I’m in no way blaming the D/S fans out there who actually take the time to be courteous and respectful of any wrongdoings. I know many people both here and on FF.net who avidly support the D/S relationship that are friendly and fun to talk to, and I’m not trying to alienate any of them. I just want all the ones who think there’s so high and mighty to come down a bit…

I can see why. It is good, and also seems to have a certain touch to it that feels right. I was hoping that in the show, Danny would stick with Val. Truth be told, I like pairings that are unique and original, far from the cliche from the cannon.

Valerie fat? I always thought that was muscle. I mean to be able to kick ghost butt like that you need muscle. I may be a D/S supporter but Val rocks and to see D/S shippers dissing her like that really makes me fear for humanity in general.Plus rapid fans like that scare me. I always think rhwy foam at the mouth.

No, she's not. Valerie is a ninth degree blackbelt, and a talented ghost hunter to boot. She has to stay athletic to acomplish that, so it's impossible that she's fat. And another thing, it's rude for you to come in here and insist she is, since it makes you look like a shallow, snobby airhead who doesn't understand the hard work that goes into staying fit and picks on people who don't fit into society's standard of beauty.
And even if she was overweight, you'd still have absolutely no right to mock her for it, since the human body comes in all shapes and sizes and beauty can be found in every one of them. I'd kindly thank you to leave your insensitive comments elsewhere, since I certainly don't want to see them and I doubt anyone else who commented on this piece will either, considering the fact that my opinion was shared by the vast majority of them. In fact, most people I've spoken to think Valerie is the only girl in the show who's build is natural, unlike Sam, Paulina and Jazz who are all rail thin.

Yeah, I see nothing wrong with Valerie. This thing about sizes is overrated. Your body is only as good as *you* feel it is, and you don't have to be slim to feel good.
And I don't ship anything in DP, either. Romance ruins cartoons.

Definately. I'm getting really annoyed with having D/S shoved down my throat for pretty much all of season 3... not to mention the D/S stories and fanart that come out because of all those D/S moments. @_@

Yeah, it's tragic... and it came at the cost of good scripts... and Tucker's dignity. It makes me wanna go on an anti-D/S tirade, but whatever. The show is over now, and the damage has been done.

I think that everyone can opinion, but, valerie isn't fat! and , I'm a DxS lover, DxV isn't my favourite couple, but in my opinion, people can't say valerie is fat, because at simple sight, you can see that she's got a cute figure! and, at real life, a lot of girls want this figure!

I'm a shipper to many pairings in the Danny Universe but I never bash any that I do not agree with. Resulting in insults like this is horrible, still I admire how you turned all of that negitive energy into something positive istead of drawing a pic of Sam in a horrible situation. It shows that you are the better person. You deserve an award

I agree completely. I'm more of a DS shipper myself, and when other DS shippers go off on their own little character knocking sprees, it really almost makes me want to change my shipping, just so I don't have to be associated with them ><;

Always inner beauty that counts ya know? I was always picked on for being not skinny or averaged sized when in school. So it's pretty horrible at that age, though I don't consider myself fat and what not. You knwo girls that are usually plus size.
Plus girls are self-conscious about their weight quite a lot and most go tout of their way nearlying killing their bodies just to get thinner. People don't know when they say stuf fliek that they hoenslty don't know how much it really hurts that person sometimes.
Well, anyhow I di enjoy the lyrics and the picture you did. It's very loveloy and you did a good job on the water around them. I find it pretty sentimental.

-Nods- Yeah. Everyone expects you to be somewhat close to the beauty shown in magazines and what not. Which makes it hard on others, because I just can't work myself to be like that. I like how I am now, I lost weight for a few health reasons plus, I believe getting down to abotu 170LB is about a pretty average weight I think. Pretty healthy.

Honestly, I've never really thought Val as fat, I thought her as just... curvy and in preety good shape. Honestly, some people are mean these days and very stereotypical about looks. I never thought of her being fat, i thought she looked good myself, though i admit, especially in her new suit ^//^;. But i think those people are only judging her from her normal look in her normal clothes because for some reason they make her a little big when she's really not. You know what, I don't support Danny pairings AT ALL! It's not that I don't like the pairing choices, it's just that I feel that Danny is one of those characters who should just stay single to the end.
Actually, this is my feeling towards most cartoon characters. Romance always seems to ruin a show for me (unless it's handled properly).

Yeah, To call Val fat is just wrong...I think it's nice that she's even the least bit heavyset. It makes her a more real char, and not some barbie doll figured girl like Paulenia...That bugs me when people say stuff like that. "Hey, You have to be a stick to be pretty!" No, you don't.

Mean D/S shippers! If you don't like a ship, here's the easier thing to do: DON'T READ IT! I have friends who supports all sorts of ships, and I still read their stories, I just write what I can write, that doesn't mean that's the only ship I like.

Val, fat? WTF? I mean, I'm a complete Danny/Sam shipper, but calling her fat is a really lame reason to dislike Val...I think she's very pretty, and while I personally don't like the D/V ship, I like her as a person and think she's a good character.
I totally agree with the whole media making people think that anything other than a size 2 is fat...that is so stupid, and it pisses me off whenever people start calling people fat just because they aren't a complete stick like the anorexic models out there. The whole fat thing always get me really mad, whenever people start talking about that, I always start ranting about how size 12 is the average american woman's size, and and how even Marilyn Monroe was a size 12, and....LOL, better stop before I get started...

Is she really heavy set, or just more muscular? Yes, the other girls are slimmer, but they're more lean, too. I don't think they could take a punch like Valerie could.
