Remember that story I promised you WAAAAAAY back? Of Valerie and Dan Phantom having a child together? Yeah, this is him.

The abandoned son of one of the most powerful and evil ghosts ever seen and the woman who is mankind's last hope for survival, Xian is one admittably messed up kid, and yet he remains one of my favorite OCs. (Which probably has something to do with the fact that he IS so messed up.)

Xian never knew his parents since Val left him on the doorstep of an orphanage only hours after his birth, and unlike most of the orphans he grew up with, he had no intention of ever finding a family. Xian isn't much of a talker, and most people see him as cold, ruthless and eerily talented at inflicting pain on others, which gives him a lot of leeway and very few friends.

In fact, the only person in the world who's been able to get close enough to be considered a friend is his fellow orphan Nadine, who's almost Xian's polar opposite.

Nadine is half French, half Hispanic, and lost her father at the age of three in a fire she accidentally caused. Afterwhich, she and her mother were forced to move in with his family, who already didn't like either of them to begin with. There they were basially treated like trash by Nadine's grandmother, aunt and both or her cousins until her mother finally got the money and paperwork to move to Amity Park.

Unfortunately, the two were caught up in an attack by Dan on the way there, and got seperated. Nadine's mother was assumed dead, though her body was never found, and Nadine was sent to Xian's orphanage.

In spite of her bleak past, Nadine is actually a very trusting and open person. She can put up a decent fight when it comes down to defending herself or others, but he doesn't have the heart to hut anyone seriously, which puts her in a complicated position if she's ever involved in life or death battles, which are all too common in a world where people are constatly fighting to survive. She's also extremely stubborn and patient, which is how she broke through Xian's shell.

Nadine is a hopeless optimist who beleives the best out of mankind as well, which is something she and Xian argue about all the time. She never really lets Xian's icy and impassive front get her down, though, and she's probably the only person in the world who can tell the difference between what Xian says and how he really feels.

There's no romantic interest between them, by the way. If you ask, Nadine'll say that the bond she has with Xian is something deep, that goes beyond anything lovers could feel for one another, and Xian will insist that he's to busy keeping Nadine from being killed to ever be interested in her like that.

...These two amuse me more then I could ever say. XDD
