You have no idea how happy I am that they're restarting Xiaolin Showdown. I adored this show growing up, and it was heartbreaking to see it go. I've heard rumors of them making a sequel since 2010, but now they're finally coming out with artwork for it, and set a date for some time in April of 2013. It's actually happening, people!!!

Oh, I don't care about love interests. I'm totally aromantic. I just want more girl power. : P I think everything is about fighting and friendship. (People shipping stuff tends to take me by surprise.)

Especially some of the ships they tend to come up with for Xaiolin Showdown. I saw a Kimiko/Dojo ship once that I tried very hard not to think too hard about.

Well, they are bringing in Shadow, who will be Chase Young's new apprentice. She seems like she'll be a pretty kick butt fighter.

Yeah. And on another plus side, now that he has an evil apprentice, Chase probably be trying to recruit Omi anymore, which means the other characters can get a little limelight every now and then, too.

Yeah, that was annoying. I mean, sure he's good, but the extra attention only validated his arrogance. I don't really see what's so important about him, other than that he was raised by the temple (or whatever... it's been a while). I'd have gone after Kimiko (who, let's face it, does have some weaknesses that could be used to turn her evil). The only one I wouldn't try to turn evil would be Clay. -_- He's just too grounded.

They said he was abandoned at the Temple as an infant. There was one episode that was dedicated to how bothered he was that he didn't have parents or siblings like his friends.

There's still a little confusion over the voice actors. I know Tara Strong is returning to to Omi, but other then that it all seems up in the air at the moment.

Actually, it's because the show's being produced in Canada, and Canadian Laws dictate that American performers can't come over to work or something. Tara Strong has Canadian citizenship, As does Jennifer Hale, who played Katnappe in Showdown and will be Kimiko in Chronicles. David Kaye is Chase Young's new voice, and I wholly approve of the choice. 
They haven't specified yet if this is a sequel, a reboot or a spin off. I suppose they're saving the surprise for the first episode.

No. They're part of the problem too, actually. They own the copy write on the names of the Wu, so all the Wu had to be renamed for Chronicles. Orb of Tornami = Orb of Torpedo. Monkey Staff = Monkey Spear. So on and so forth.

Because they had to replace a few voice actors and change a few names? From what I've seen so far, Xiaolin Chronicles will have all the spirit, humor and action that I loved about the original show. That's more then enough reason for me to give Christy Hui and her team a little faith.
