Honestly, I prefer using very little romance, (if any) since I think so many people lose a lot of who the character is in trying to get them to fall for this person or that one.
I genuinely prefer a funny, action packed storyline over a mushy clique romance story. But hey, that's just me... :shakes head:

'nods' I don't have a problem with romance, as long as it's not woefully overdone, making one person or another out of character. (The biggest offenders here seem to be the ones writing about Danny pining way for Sam, I've noticed...)
Don't get me wrong, I like almost any pairing, including D/S, as long as I feel it fits the character. The only thing that really offends me personally is incest. 'shivers violently'
