Description So we've all heard a lot of rape jokes recently, right? I know I have, and I think it's stupid and VERY insensitive of someone to joke about rape. I also think it is very sensitive to the people who have also been a victim of this horrible crime. RAPE is NOT a joke, IT IS a crime. I seriously think people who joke about it are jerk offs and deserve to be punched in the mouth -_- but that's just my opinion. I was very motivated to do this when I saw a stamp on here that was talking about this same topic, and it is in my favs right now. I actually just made this stamp a little while ago since it doesn't take me very long to make stamps, if I already have a template. I did NOT make this template, I found it on DA available for use.

Macabre dark humor often seems like it.
Like an military instructor shouting; SHOOT THEM AS IF THEY WERE LITTLE CHILDREN!, sure is insensitive and would seem to be ignorant if you don't know the background for the joke.
Though you should be to some extent considerate about people around you but ultimately I don't think there is any subject that can't be involved in jokes.
Is rape funny? No.
Is it funny if someone is risking her life and health while sacrificing an significant amount of effort to obtain something she would get simply by asking? Maybe.
But of course we won't be laughing when we are choking in an puddle of our own blood.

Having been severely abused by my father and then raped by four men at 8 I really don't consider that funny. I'm 15 now, and my past abuse is something I have to struggle with daily, and many other women and men too. Rape is real, And it hurts. It is not something to joke about.

Good for you! . I hate the fact that there are rape jokes on this site because I really love DA. I mean, I understand that people have freedom of speech and have the right to voice/write there opinion. But seriously, why must they abuse it? Especially on really sensitive subjects. To me it's just as bad as joking about suicide.

I'm not fond of them, but I can't really say I hate them. Rape jokes are my most hated jokes though since I care a lot about the scary memories that linger within a victim's mind after they have been raped.

Oh wow. I have two words for him/her: fuck you. Excuse my language. I know some people on here probably don't like profanity, but I really hate holding my tongue.

I wouldn't say that everyone in our society today treats rape as something that isn't serious. There are a ton of people out there (like us for example) that do treat rape as something serious. What people a lot of people think is that when someone gets raped, they act all sad and scared to get attention. But that is wrong. Once a person is raped, they have been emotionally scarred. If they cry about it, then those are not crocodile tears. They are REAL tears. And I have half a mind to punch someone out for thinking that rape victims are just attention seekers. I swear, too many people are full of shit these days.
