Read about a French attack in which the Schneider tanks were carrying extra petrol cans on the back. The Germans recognized this fact, and began firing at the cans. The fuel leaked down into the engine compartment and set the tank on fire. Everybody could hear the crewmen screaming while being burned alive, and it rattled the Germans as well as the French attackers.

has anyone ever told you that these pictures of yours have captured the potential of sheer hell that would have been unleashed if mobile warfare (albeit provided by slow tanks and horses) had been achieved with the empire mentalities that fought in ww1?
more effective war at that: as in less death for more gain, which feeds the fallacy that war is always a viable option over senseless cruelty that is best minimized...
a drastically less enlightened world...

Eh ben, si tu aimes tant les Renault FT j'ai une bonne nouvelle pour toi, car j'ai aussi un dessin sur mon disque dur avec toutes les variantes de ce type de char, y compris les versions expérimentales. Il y manque encore la couleur et maintenant je suis assez presse car je dois terminer le dossier pour soumettre "Shadowless" a l’éditeur, mais je promets que tu la verras sur DA dans le futur proche.
