One of the more infamous Galactic Powers. An overtly religious race, Leos are all followers of Aslan, the god and creator of the universe (who is known by over a thousand titles) whose creed and philosophy are described by his Amirs. Though there are various sects that fall under Aslan, all Leos are united in the common goal of spreading the words and tenets of the Great Maker to the cosmos, mostly through warfare and military advancement. Their unified leader is the great and powerful Caliph, who acts as Aslan's representative to all races, though he himself is not of equal stature as an Amir, all of whom disappeared long ago. Because of their zealous aggression, the Leos are among the most belligerent nations in the galaxy, and are known to initiate holy wars, or “jihads”, routinely, as well as continually annexing territory. As a result, they have acquired much in the way of power and influence, as well as enemies.
