Yes it is a world heritage site, Avebury is a Neolithic henge monument containing three stone circles, it is the only stone circle with a village buit within it

Oh, that sounds very interesting - I am always very curious about the time before the anglo-saxons invaded Britain. Was it used for religious purposes?

This photo has a serene and mystical heir about it and reminds me quite a bit about Stonehenge in England. The rocks sticking up in the grass look like they have story and the angle and spacing as they trail off into the distance causes the viewer to wonder where they are leading too. These rocks also seems to have a story to tell. A long and very old one too. What inspired you to take the photo?
