I've been using all the recent travel time (due to moving) to revise some character/story concepts in my head, consolidate a few things, and even come up with some decent shaping presets for DAZ Studio. When I had time to sit in front of a computer I wrote down all those revisions and tested the DAZ presets. Here's a relatively quick example of both...

I took the "Lita" character from All That Remains and Bound By Blood and revised her to better suit the horror fantasy world she inhabits. The first thing I did was merge her with another character concept and change her name to Dakota - Dakota Noelle Ravensong. I wanted to strip the "Lita" name out of this story setting because it's already better used in another one - specifically Ysabel's . There's an alternate reality sci-fi erotic horror character who combines elements from Ashley Somerset, Christine Black, and Dakota Ravensong. I just call her Dakota Black. I'll try to update my DA galleries to better reflect these revisions when I have more time.

The revised character, Dakota Ravensong, is related by blood to both Ashley and Christine (which also makes her a descendant of Christine Somerset as they are). Dakota's story diverges from Ashley's and continues on its own grim path as before in which she's the companion (and property) of a demonic goblin named Butcher. She has a younger sister, Danika Ravensong, and they - along with Butcher - ran afoul of Mara Barbosa , The Cannibal Witch from Christine Somerset's tales. Mara believed that Danika's blood held the key to ending her curse, and in a sense it did, but not in any way she expected or would have dreamed possible.

As for the DAZ Studio stuff: I had the idea to reverse engineer Christine Somerset's/Christine Black's Genesis 8 shaping preset and approximate it on Genesis 3. Since I already have a Genesis 3 shape for the two Christines there seemed no point using this one for them. I decided to use it for Dakota Ravensong. I also came up with a Genesis 3 shaping preset for Danika. Hopefully I'll get a chance to render her, too.

This render - simple as it is - could have turned out a lot better, but I screwed up, stopped it way too soon. I'll have to redo it later. There's only a little postwork here as I tried to clear up some of the pixelation. There's an intentional similarity here between this one and All That Remains . Long before she encountered goblins or knew anything about supernatural entities and situations, Dakota was already moving in the darker circles of life...

UPDATE: Added some framing as a test (two Genesis 2 Males) and rendered it twice as long as last time.
