I made this beauty...for an ENGLISH PROJECT! BLEH HEH HEH HEH HEHHH I'm so evil. Seriously now, this was for a stop-action animation video of the Titanic to accompany a 15-page paper on the Titanic (my favorite ship).This involved a good deal of effort and three days back-to-back to build- and 5 times as much to film, and 5 times as much as that to edit and put together the film! But I enjoyed it. Hope you do too.
This is the bow of the ship - and the Jack and Rose pose on the front is overdone, and besides, the ship isn't to scale for that type of thing. :-P
Made out of Lego bricks, then wrapped in electrical tape because I didn't have enough of the right color for each part.

Have I told you recently how totally awesome you are? Despite your past complaints about the electrical tape, I really like the textural variety that it gives the piece. As always, at least when it comes to ships and trains, your attention to detail is positively impeccable.
Also, I know it's probably common knowledge by now, but I adore the fact that you can differentiate between the bow and the stern. It takes me back to my childhood, when I used to study ships all the time, memorizing the names of the different masts and sails and such, in preparation for the one day that pirates would kidnap me and I'd be forced to work alongside them as a sailor so that they wouldn't kill me. I was a rather...imaginative child.

I've been studying the Titanic and ships in general since the 2nd grade! If I don't know the lingo, I've wasted a lot of time.

I think we should play pretend and be pirates together when we get back to school. You can be captain if you want, so long as I'm the first mate. I bet we could find some nice big branches in the woods to be our masts.
