Inspired in part by The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, in which the title character is constantly chased by the angel of death.If you haven't seen that movie, you really should.
I know it shouldn't be in deviations, because it is a rough sketch I dashed off during study hall, but I'm rather fond of it.
I also scanned it in at a much too high resolution, then messed too much with the contrast, but I can't help it.

Hello, this is nice. The size DOES make it hard to take it all in properly, but just the seperate parts of it are striking too. I have opted to focus on the section at the front, with the head and arm and start of the wing and the ropes of draping hair, which is definitely a nice touch. The shading's really good, and for some reason I think the hand is really well done. Perfectly creepy and frail. Good work!
