You never know when your path will end
you never know where your wings will lay
you never know which soil your hands will touch
you can only hope this is the right place

I had wings to fly
now they are broken
I had shoes to walk with
now they are full of holes
I had hands to stroke with
now they are bruised

There is nothing other than a destroyed city
collapsed columns
and burned trees
There are no clouds in this sky
not even a sun to keep you warm
there is no wind to take away those bitter tears
but only a well where you can throw a coin

The wounds will close
the tears will have no taste
my wings will unfold again
and i will have new lands to reach
one day...
before i let myself die in silence.

non sai dove si poseranno le tue ali
non sai che terre sfioreranno le tue mani
puoi solo sperare che questa sia la volta buona

avevo ali con cui volare
ora sono spezzate
avevo scarpe con cui camminare
ora sono bucate
avevo mani con cui accarezzare
ora sono graffiate

Non vi è altro che una città distrutta
colonne crollate
e alberi bruciati
Non vi son nuvole in questo cielo
ma nemmeno un sole per scaldarsi
non vi è vento per asciugare lacrime amare
ma solo un vuoto pozzo dove lanciare una moneta.

Si rimargineranno le ferite
le lacrime non avranno più alcun sapore
