Tomcat

Your call on the arm was correct, the stump covered it and it bothered me. I'm much better at taking the shots than manipulating them. As for the "Hole in the canopy" that as exactly as it looks I liked that effect too, then I saw the light between the mountains and decided it had to be in the shot like a light coming down from the heavens so to speak. I used white reflectors to through as much of the ambiant light back on her. This part you're going to love though... you may have noticed I like doing art nudes with classically trained dancers. The bend and flow so naturally and as this shot proves are strong. There was NOTHING under her feet she held that pose on a small stump maybe a half a meter wide or so and not totally flat or smooth, for maybe 3 minutes while 2 assistants and I set and finally took the shot. She never moved so we could position the reflectors. I don't know what I did that created that fuzzy look on and under her feet but now that you made me notice I think I'll play around a bit and see if I can clean it up some. Give the pose a try yourself sometime you can see the muscle tone on her legs as her quads are pretty pumped and the traps on the upper arm and of course the abs. Those are the places that your going to feel the day after you try this pose LOL. I tried this pose on other girls that couldn't do it even a second. But I like that pose even suported at the feet and under the sholders. I have a couple of those posted. The trick is get her to bend her back as much as humanly possable then lean on the but cheek that's away from the camera lust enough to lift the cheek closest to you just barely off the platform she's on that way the model's behind and back will have a beautiful curve.

Wow, I must say that I'm really impressed with this nude. This is something that I think is quite original from some of the other nudes that I've seen on deviant art. It's quite interesting how the mountain turns into a hole in the canopy, a very nice manipulation in photoshop. I think it makes it look like a light is coming down and surrounding her. She's a beautiful model, and it's quite an interesting and dynamic pose, she looks suspended. A little unnatural when you were removing whatever it was that was underneath her feet, but it is mainly looks that way because of the smudge tool that you used around the bottom of the tree, texture is very important to the illusion. I also noticed right under her back, where you removed what you had supporting her there. The lighting is slightly different on her arm, and the most noticeable thing is the change of angle in her arm from using the smudge tool around the stump. It's still quite an interesting shot, and beautiful.

You're more than welcome my friend, and I really enjoyed the shot, it looks almost like a fantasy. That's amazing that the hole in the canopy is real and it's awesome that you were able to capture it that way. I think you made an excellent choice in model, I could tell right off the bat that she was quite athletic by her tone. I'm amazing that she could hold that pose for that long and totally unsupported, which is amazing core strength. She must be the kind of model most people dream of, because I know if you asked most to hold that pose they would complain and not even come close to pulling it off. It's a beautiful shot, and I'll be keeping an eye on your work.
