I set the CD atop a cup of tea until a thick of condensate forms, then jar it slightly to aggitate the water into larger droplets.

(the light source was a long bulb, like in an office)
I'd like to see if someone could recreate this (with reference) as I took the picture with three different cameras, and they all turned out different
