Description
Like many Eternals, Thena was often mistaken for actual deities of myth (or in the case of the Marvel Universe where Gods and Goddesses walk among everyone else, mistaken for the "real" deities). Such was the case in Ancient Greece when most of the Eternals settled on Mount Olympus in their city Olympia.⁣

The powerful, god-like Eternals were thought, by the local humans anyway, to be the Gods of Olympus. Which was confusing since the actual Olympian Gods' pocket world was tethered to the Earthly plane on the same mountain. Awwwwkward.⁣

But it worked out and the two group made a pact where many of the Eternals would be the representatives of specific Gods on Earth, with the daughter of the Prime Eternal, Zuras, taking the name Thena (formerly Azura) and standing in for Athena of Olympus. So sort of like those dollar store Dora the Explorers and Batmen you'd see in Times Square. But with less body odor.⁣

Anyway, Thena has the usual Eternal abilities of great strength & endurance, the ability to levitate and channel cosmic energies, etc. She is also a trained, deadly warrior. Which you don't usually expect from people who wear old TV antennas on their foreheads.⁣
