So Marvel has had a pre-teen superhero team since the mid 1980s and they are called Power Pack and they are adorable and wholesome.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
These kids, conveniently having the last name Power, all lived in Virginia with their loving parents. When their scientist dad created an energy source that could blow up Earth, Whitey, a member of the horse-faced alien race the Kymellians, came to Earth to warn Dr. Power, but was followed by the evil aliens, The Snark (yes, really) who attacked him.⁣⁣

Mortality wounded, Whitey saved the kids and gave each of them one of his many powers. They also all got chonky boot spacesuit costumes that appear/disappear at will...what a time saver!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

After saving their parents and the Earth they, along with Whitey's sentient "smartship" Friday, become Power Pack! They continue to fight bad guys and do normal kid stuff...but they never telling their parents about being heroes, because they don't wanna get grounded. Like I said...adorable.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

The kids regularly swap powers & codenames, but suffice to say they are 4 powers: molecular density powers (allowing one to become a gas being or shrink down into a super dense, miniature form), energy powers (allowing one to convert matter into energy, usually destructive blasts), gravity powers (allowing one to decrease or increase the effects of gravity one themselves or anything they touched), and flight powers (allowing one to fly at super fast speeds, leaving a distinctive rainbow trail behind themselves...again: adorable).⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

The 2nd oldest Power kid would be Julie. Only 10 when she got her powers, she was shy & bookish, but also performed the older sister role well on the team and "mothered" her siblings when they were frightened or upset. She has gone by codenames like Molecula and others, but is usually known as Lightspeed as she usually held the flight abilities on the team. She was alter revealed to be gay, and as she spent years flying around with a rainbow trailing her, it sort of makes sense, don't it? Happy Pride month!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
