So, Moon Knight, remember him? Marc Spector? Former mercenary with multiple personality disorder, who was chosen by the Egyptian God of Vengeance, Khonshu, to be his Earthly avatar, "The Fist of Khonshu"? Got possessed by Khonshu and joined the West Coast Avengers? Totally runs off Batman? Yeah, that guy.
Anyway, he formally resigned from the Avengers, partly because Khonshu stopped possessing him, partly because he disagreed with the team's "no killing" rule, and partly because he got his own title to star in again.
So he went back to doing his Batman rip off thing, including getting his own teenage sidekick, Midnight. Unfortunately, a mentally unstable former merc in a cape isn't the best adoptive dad and the kid got murdered, resurrected as a killer cyborg, then killed again. And no one called CPS, either.
Anyway, Moon Knight gets up to all sorts of sketchy superhero stuff, gets fired from the Avengers (he already quit, but whatever), and dies and gets resurrected a bunch times. But none of that ever stops him from being out there being frickin' crazy and still not being as cool as Batman.
