Description

The Masters of Evil are a super villain team that has menaced the Avengers since shortly after they were founded. Originally created by the first Baron Zemo as a scheme to seek revenge against his old nemesis, Captain America, it had many other configurations of bad guys and motives after Zemo's death. They literally have evil in their name, so what else do you need to know?⁣⁣

Zemo's son, Helmet Zemo, blamed Captain America for his father's death and became the second Baron Zemo, dedicating his life to plans for destroying Steve Rogers. That's dedication!⁣⁣

In one such plan he gathered together over a dozen powerful villains to overwhelm the Avengers with sheer force. ⁣⁣

Having been in an earlier iteration of the team, Karla Sofen was recruited into the MoE for this mission. Her bad guy name is Moonstone. Because she has a stone. From the Moon. That gives her powers. Moonstone. I know...it's super complex...⁣

Anyway, originally she was a psychologist, but an EVIL psychologist (half of all psychologists are super villlains). One of her patients was a villain with a stone. From the Moon. That gave him powers. He was named Moonstone. So not only did she steal his stone and his powers, but his incredibly on-the-nose name. Wow. That IS evil. Also lazy.⁣

Baron Zemo needed her to manipulate a fellow villain named Blackout into assisting Zemo's plan because Blackout had suffered brain damage and only she could control him. Like, she was hired because only she was manipulative enough to trick a mentally challenged bad guy into doing more evil stuff. This lady gives evil psychologists a bad name!⁣

Anyway, she eventually fled the scene chased by Captain Marvel and accidentally broke her evil neck by flying into a cliff.*⁣

*She got better. Healed by her moon stone. From the Moon. ⁣
