Description
British World War I adventurer Union Jack had retired to his ancestral home to raise his kids. But when World War II broke out, his old arch nemesis, Baron Blood, decided to get back in the action as well as take another opportunity to attack his old foe. ⁣

The Baron however, was a vampire who dressed up as a giant, purple bat. So there's that.⁣
⁣
Striking close to home, abroad kidnaps Union Jack's daughter Jacqueline, prompting the hero's return to, um...heroing...and wearing a flag-decored body sock. With the Invaders on his side, Union Jack defeated Baron Blood, but at great cost. Not only was he left crippled and his daughter got bitten by the batty bloodsucker and lay dying. ⁣

Inexplicably, she was saved by a a transfusion from the Human Torch. The Human Torch, if you recall, is not human as all...he's an android...a synthetic man. So that makes zero sense, right? Well, this is comics and when shit doesn't make sense, SOMEONE is getting super powers.⁣

So Jackie now gets fire power like the Torch! Wait...no...sorry...that would make sense. No, she gets super speed? She gets super speed. *sigh* Moving on...⁣

Now able to run at high speeds, Jackie Falsworth slaps on tights and a cape (capes as we know are great for running at high speeds), and becomes Spitfire and joins up with The Invaders.⁣
