Meet Madcap, the Merry Menace! His birth name lost to time and madness, little is known about him other than his origins as a quiet young man of a religious background. Not much ever happened in his simple life until one day, his church group was on a bus trip when they were struck by tragedy. Kinda literally. ⁣

A tanker truck carrying a mysterious substance known only as Compound X07 careened into them, killing all aboard, save for the man who would become Madcap. I guessing they were a little lax on the praying that week.⁣

Waking up an emotionally broken man, he tried to end his misery, only to find out he couldn't die. Not only that, but he could heal from any would and bounce back like a flattened cartoon character...all while feeling nothing. Daffy Duck has the same condition, I hear.⁣

Anyway, he put on a wacky costume and persona, including a bubble gun and set about trying prove how comically meaningless life really is. In addition to being unkillable, Madcap could also now influence others mentally if they looked into his eyes. A quick gaze results in minutes to hours of madness in his victims. Really helpful in the "I like to start riots" business, really.⁣

Madcap has faced everyone from Captain America, to Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Deadpool...heck, even Power Pack. And been a royal pain in the butt for all. Clowns, man. Clowns.⁣
