It's not just another day at the beach when you have to contend with another MISCELLANEOUS MISCREANT! Superheroes need villains to punch...but sometimes it ends with sand in their colorful booties. Oh, I hate that. You never get it all out. And if it gets on your socks and you gotta walk around like that all afternoon...yuck.
Anyway, this was originally a Vietnamese woman named Nguyet who worked in a nuclear power plant. But after being involved in a radiation accident, she got cancer and died. Oh, wait, no....sorry, that happened in a comicbook so instead she turned into a sand monster lady. Of course.
Anyway, blaming society for her being turned into living sand and also being a huge jerk, she decided to get revenge on humanity but blowing up power plants and spreading radiation. Now calling herself Quicksand, she put her villainous plan into action. But Thor decided that was a bad idea and whooped her sandy bottom.
Quicksand lived to be evil another day, though, and regularly teams up with other bad guys and gals to cause mayhem and get stuck in the floor mats of our cars. So evil.
