Description
Little is known about her life before Sheoke Sanada became the mercenary known as Snapdragon. She first came to prominence when she was hired by the supervillain arms dealer, Damon Dran, to defeat and humiliate Black Widow. She proved a formidable match for the deadly Natasha Romanoff, but Black Widow rallied and came out on top. Spiders beat lizards, I guess.

Snapdragon kept a low profile for awhile after this defeat, but surfaced again after she became a top lieutenant for Superia the man-hating supervillainess in her Femizon organization. As various female villains were being recruited, former Serpent Society member and Captain America girlfriend, Diamondback was brought into the fold under duress. It was then that it was learned she and Snapdragon had a past, with Snapdragon holding a deep grudge for some unknown slight. A grudge Snapdragon satisfied by attacking Diamondback, and throwing her overboard a ship into the ocean, leaving her for dead. Yikes.

Diamondback survived, and tried to retire from the superheroic life. But her old nemesis Crossbones kidnapped and tortured her for an extended period of time, in an attempt to mold her into the killer he thought she could be. She also around this time received a dose of the same Super Soldier Serum that empowers Captain America. So when there was a rematch between her and Snapdragon, Diamondback brutally beat and then drown her former attacker in a fountain. Dang. I guess the lesson is: don't throw people off boats without expecting some payback.

Superia later forced Diamondback to briefly take over as the new Snapdragon, to add another perverse layer to the story.
