Angelina Brancale, a lonely, heavy set video store clerk became an assistant to Carolyn Trainer, daughter of Seward Trainer (the duplicitous confidant of Ben Reilly). She also was obsessed with Otto Octavius, better known as Doctor Octopus. If all that sounds both complicated and contrived, it’s because it is.

Anyhow, Doc Ock created a Virtual Reality device capable of projecting a powerful “Virtual Form” in the real world, because in the 90s, comic writers thought computers were literally magic. So Arngie projects herself as a gorgeous and powerful bombshell named Stunner. Because comic people were also horny in the 90s. So very horny.

Anyhow, Stunner becomes Otto’s new partner both romantically as well as in the whole supervillain game. But while working together, the bad Doctor happens upon a dying Spider-Man (who has recently been poisoned by the Vulture). Octavius, not wanting anyone else to be the one to defeat Spidey, works feverishly to cure the Wallcrawler of…well…his feverish affliction. Once he was done, he turns himself into the police, willing to wait another day to beat the Webhead. Boss move.

But unbeknownst to all involved, the man known as Kaine had other plans. Seemingly obsessed with “protecting” the life of Peter Parker, Kaine used Stunner to draw out Doc Ock. After Ock escapes the cops and tries to save Stunner, Kaine murders him with a brutal neck snap.

Stunner vowed revenge on Kaine and worked tirelessly to bring him to justice. Which seems noble, until you remember it was because she had the hots for another murdering bad guy.
