Description
Long ago, the mysterious cosmic beings known as The Celestials extreminated an ancient ra e named the Termini. But the Termini left behind Terminus: massive, genetically created 150-foot tall, armor-clad weapons of mass destruction, meant to destroy worlds under the Celestials' watch. Space vengeance. Sort of like a cosmic upper-decker.
One such Terminus found its way to Earth, intent on taking our resources and leaving it in ashes. But the Fantastic Four defeated Terminus by sending it to the Earth's Core using stupid comic book "science."
But the beast found allies & had them wear similar armor and pose as Terminus until it could escape the Earth's mantle. One such acolyte was Jorro, a member of the Deviant race (who also hate Celestials).
This faux Terminus wandered into the Savage Land and destroyed much of it, including the environmental machines that kept the freezing climate of Antarctica from reclaiming the lush jungle lands. The Avengers arrived too late to stop this tragedy, and most of the creatures of the Savage Land perished. Ka-Zar & his family were rescued, and the Avengers, after tearing the Terminus armor asunder and exposing the now helpless Jorro, left the monster to die in the same cold to which he fated his own victims. Poetic!
Later, another "Terminus" appears but was defeated by the X-Men & the High Evolutionary. But this time, inside was Garokk the Petrified Man. Feeed of Terminus' control, he, with the help of the Evolutionary, merges with the destroyed Savage Land, bringing it back to life. The High Evolutionary fills the land with clones of its former lifeforms, and later the various tribes were revealed to have been rescued to other dimensions & returned home. Suck it, Termy.
The "real' Terminus later returns and is defeated many times by the Avengers. We bet it sucks to be a 150-foot tall metal alien but still an incompetent goof.
