The mangled hat was the last Mable had seen of her brother Dipper the next few days. The book under her bed seemed to have disappeared also. It wasn't until Mable, Wendy, Grunkle Stan, and Soos heard a scream, a ghastly, chilling scream did they start to realize how much danger Dipper was in. Not only was Dipper in danger, Mable was in danger too. In danger of Dipper giving in to the dark force that had him captured and him telling them her power. Her power, you ask? It was a mystery to Dipper, Mable, and everyone else. Only the dark, powerful force knew. And it wouldn't be sharing anytime soon. Not now, not later. Only when the time was right did it want to share.
