I said in that poll I posted yesterday I'd start and finish a picture, and, I did!
I am so proud of myself, haha. Now I just need to start getting back in the swing of uploading more art. Anyway, lots of colors in this... + overly shiny manga eyes. *facepalm* I CAN'T HELP IT IT'S SO FUN TO DRAW EYES LIKE THAT! ...;-;"Anyway...

Love what's going on in this picture!
You said you can't help but do anime eyes, but I think they work in this picture really well. They Show off the eye shine and help sell that sweet, innocent, expression. Which I'm guessing you were going for.
Also a plus, you used a purple color for the shadowing instead of just plain black, a rut most people are stuck in. But, is the time just before sunset or right in the middle of sunset? The reason I ask is because of your shadowing. You did choose a complimenting color, but if the time is right in the middle of a sunset, the shading needs to be a bit darker purple.
The blowing hair is a nice touch, a breeze perhaps? But if that is the case I suggest having some of the face fur move as well. :3 The highlights in the hair look amazing!
The background is nice, I do feel you need to work on clouds just a tad more.
All in all though this is a very nice piece and with all the improvements you've made so far, I can't wait to see what your next deviations will look like. :3

Really? I've heard of that, but I've never really seen it or done it myself. And I didn't really think about the time within the sunset, I just thought- "This needs a background.. a sunset would compliment the character nicely! 
And yes... I completely forgot about the facial fur. I went and drew dramatic hair just blowing around, and then... I forgot the fur.
And then.. the clouds... I was like, you know what, I can't remember how to do this. Haha and I just wanted to get it done so badly so that I could upload it I didn't give the clouds any time. ;-;
