It's just a slightly different way of writing that you've posted. It's not bad, not something to be unhappy with. Often times, I'll purposely try to write in a slightly different way to keep my ideas feeling fresh and different.
You say you've been feeling "strange" lately, and you describe this poem as being "strange," so maybe this poem is the result of those emotions.
It's not a bad poem, and I could really imagine this as a song lyric.
