Do you prefer painting on a smooth or rough surface? I notice with bristol board you can get nice smooth watercolors. Anyhow I like how her dress hatches out to white. Tha hand is rather creepy.

Um..it depends on what I have at hand! I find that bristol smooth board blends watercolor better than the vellum... and I don't use rough paper much, because I find it hard to draw on
