From tremendous mountains and seas below
So much to experience that's alive and wonderful
Things so lively and rich and colorful
Things to do and food to taste
Things yet to be enjoyed that can't be replaced
Cities to venture and jungles to explore
There's no time to let despair ground you to the floor
That's no way to act, time will fly
The seconds the minutes the hours tick by
Their departure a signal of everything's end
All in all time shall mend
And at this point I know you'll discover
Through tooth and nail and the love of another
Life is good and life is bad
See there's time you'll enjoy and time you'll be sad
Time you'll be angry and miserable and mad
And when you get frustrated or tense or even depressed
When your life seems but a monstrous mess
Fret not, these harsh times a mere test
A test of wit and strength and might
An ordeal you'll persevere through day and night
Eventually the time shall come
As you await the glory of the rising sun
When no more can be said or done
When times are bleak and at their worst
And terror seeks to sate its thirst
The looming hand of Old Man Death
Anxiety held in bated breath
Look to the Heavens as they shake
For the brightest dawn has yet to break
Through these dark times you shall survive
And in due time know you're alive.
