Something a bit different from the norm here but I stumbled across the immense talents of and after lifting my jaw from the floor at seeing her gallery I thought I'd see if I could colour one of her pictures.You can imagine how intimidating it is to have to colour work as good as this, and as different from my normal comfort zone as you can get. I'm not sure I've done her work justice but I'm still pleased with how it came out.

Thanks! I'd originally done a very literal Pred scheme and it just didn't seem dramatic enough so I went for red lighting and it seemed to "pop" a bit more!

I've tried drawing and painting these critters a few times - I found that the actual character colour scheme is pretty bland. I'm trying to work out methods of establishing environmental light so I can use it on a painting I've got it in mind to do.
Putting these guys in the right setting is definitely key to getting a dramatic image.
