Fractal 's debut album was Algorhythmic Motion, and it really was all about chaos theory and fractals. But on a deeper level, AM discussed the nature of the mind, and even directly addressed the hot topic of artificial consciousness. The music of AM has the harshest sound of the three albums, with sharp tones and powerful melodies.The rotating spiral-chaos ("Julia") fractal on the cover of Algorhythmic Motion became a sort of emblem for the band; a visual representation of the ordered chaos theme they adhered to.
